USC

Join us for an in-depth webinar featuring USC Racing, a team of engineering students leveraging additive manufacturing (AM) to gain a competitive edge in the Formula SAE competition. Faced with tight timelines and complex design challenges, USC’s racing teams integrate AM technology to create high-performance parts for both internal combustion and electric race cars. Learn how these students have scaled from five to over forty 3D-printed parts in their latest car, optimizing components like steering wheels and aerodynamic features with Stratasys' FDM® Nylon 12CF carbon fiber and ULTEM™ 1010 resin.

In this session, discover how rapid prototyping, design freedom, and tooling customization are enabling these future engineers to overcome traditional manufacturing constraints, iterate designs quickly, and reduce lead times significantly. Hear from Lucas Dudley, USC Racing’s chief engineer, as he shares his insights on the time-saving benefits of AM, the importance of prototyping for high-stakes performance, and the role of high-temperature, non-conductive materials in designing safe and efficient battery systems. Whether you are in engineering, education, or interested in the latest in 3D printing applications, this webinar will showcase real-world insights into AM's impact on the future of motorsport innovation.
